420 Start-Ups Apply for Arch Grants

Arch Grants, which was formed less than two months ago, received 420 applications for the $50,000 grants the organization is offering to entrepreneurs who want to start a company in St. Louis.  With $600,000 up for grabs funding the top 12, there should be some great companies getting off the ground.

Sarah Spear, executive director of Arch Grants, said that 25 percent of the applications came from businesses outside the St. Louis region, with 92 from across the country and 11 from abroad.
